Fantasy Cat

Blogging for most of us ordinary folks seems to be a thing of the past.  But I want to keep trying.  I know that no one reads the blog so maybe I should just make it private and turn it into a journal, but for right now I'll try a few more posts and hope to get some incentive.  A nice comment on one of my other posts brought me back today and I'm going to try again.

My painting buddy moved away late last year and it seems to have affected me more than I expected. I'm just now beginning to want to paint again. I have not really done much painting in quite a few months.  So the paintings I'm posting will not be totally recent.  But next week is dedicated to painting.  I WILL PAINT!!!

This painting was done last year in a workshop with Soon Y. Warren, an extraordinary watercolor artist.  I can't say that this is an original since it was done from one of her photos that she provided for the class.  But I did do the painting, so it's my version.  Because it was someone else's photo, my painting won't ever be entered into a competition but that doesn't keep me from being proud of it and happy with the way it turned out.

I give you "Fantasy Cat", 16" x 20" watercolor on 140 lb Arches watercolor paper.
